Ozone water treatment leads to splitting of a large range of organic substances entering into the swimming pool

Ozone is one of the most powerful oxidizing agents (1.8 times stronger than chlorine and 2.3 times stronger than hydrogen peroxide). When dissolved in water, it oxidizes contaminants that give the water a yellow or gray color, much more effectively than any reagents. Ozone water treatment leads to splitting of a large range of organic substances entering into the swimming pool (sweat and grease production, cosmetics, etc.). Ozone acts on sulfur compounds (hydrogen sulfide), phenols, and many other substances. Its action is accompanied by disappearance of unpleasant taste and odor.

The disinfecting effect of ozone, as distinct from conventionally used chlorine, is much stronger and does not lead to the formation of chloroorganics, not pollute water with impurities or form harmful substances that are harmful to human.

Relatively rapid decomposition of ozone in water (about 30 minutes) leads to the formation of oxygen that gives it a pleasant spring-water taste and smell.

Ozone is produced from 92% of oxygen; for this purpose the oxygen generator is provided in the scheme that stimulates additional saturation of water with oxygen. Process of water treatment for swimming pools is fully automatized and does not require human participation after the adjustment period. Ozone is introduced into the circulation pipeline by means of ejector manufactured of Teflon and resistant to ozone. Then, water saturated with ozone is directed to the swimming pool.

The practice of use of swimming pools suggests the applicability of periodical ozone treatment. In this case, the ozone treatment system is activated only at night (when there are no people in the pool). Introduction of shocking dose of ozone into water provides maximum rate and completeness of oxidation reactions. Further water circulation through the filter box and its subsequent morning washing remove the decomposition products of organic substances from the swimming pool.

Antibacterial plant of UV radiation

Mounting of antibacterial plant of UV radiation is provided after the filter box and before the point of ozone injection. The plant operates continuously and is designed to remove bacteria and viruses from water, without waiting for ozone treatment at night. Practically, UV plants are compact and consume insignificant amount of energy (up to 30 W/m3 of water to be treated). UV radiation has no effect on the chemical and organoleptic properties of water and is the most environmentally compliant method of bactericidal treatment.
